Reverse Krillion

Noillirk vs Krillion

Same kind of prompt, opposite goal. In Krillion the rarest correct answer dives deepest. In Noillirk, “Krillion” spelled backwards, the most common answer climbs highest.

What changes when you switch

Krillion players, unlearn the deep cut. In Noillirk the clever answer is the one that scores least. An answer nobody else gives is Grounded, worth 4 points; the plain, first-thought answer can be worth 100. Krillion’s “too obvious” answer is exactly what you are hunting for.

Go general, not specific. Krillion rewards narrowing down to something rare. Noillirk rewards the broad word that collects every variant: keys, not car keys.

Think about strangers, not facts. Krillion is partly a knowledge test: you need to know rare correct answers. Noillirk is a mind-reading test: picture a hundred ordinary people and say what most of them would blurt out first.

Off the board still counts, a little. Noillirk accepts fitting answers that are not on its board, but they land low: Kite (16), Treetop (8) or Grounded (4).

One prompt, two opposite strategies

Take Noillirk’s own example prompt, “Name something people lose all the time”. Keys, phone and glasses all come to mind at once, and in Noillirk that is the point: the race is between those three for the #1 spot, and the winner is whichever one is true for the most people. An unusual but correct answer, the kind only you would think of, lands as Grounded for 4 points.

Krillion asks the opposite question about any prompt: which correct answer will almost nobody else type? Your keys and phones are the answers to avoid, and the score rewards going deep into the list instead of staying at the top of it.

Which one should you play?

  • Play Noillirk if you like reading people more than recalling facts, want a quick round (7 prompts, 15 seconds each), or want to play live with friends in a room.
  • Play Krillion if you enjoy deep knowledge and obscure answers, and want one shared daily puzzle to compare with friends.
  • Play both on the same day: they train opposite instincts, which is half the fun.

Noillirk vs Krillion FAQ

Is Noillirk made by the Krillion developer?

No. Krillion is made by a solo developer who goes by kp, at krillion.io. Noillirk is made by Daily (playdaily.org), which describes it as its own invention: Krillion turned upside down. The two are not affiliated.

Why is it called Noillirk?

It is “Krillion” spelled backwards, because the game reverses Krillion’s goal: the most common answer wins instead of the rarest.

Can I play Krillion on this site too?

No. Krillion’s site does not allow itself to be shown inside other pages, and this guide only covers Noillirk. Play Krillion at krillion.io.
